Last weekend, Kylie came over to spend the night - it was so nice to have Mom Mom time with her and she baked up a batch of brownies for us to have for dessert. I don't know if she enjoys making the brownies or licking the bowl, but they were sure good.
I know the first day of Spring has already passed and everyone is showing the obligatory photos of their daffodils in bloom or garden shots of everything just springing out of the ground, but I'm going to be a little different and show you a photo of the poinsettia that will not die. I picked this poinsettia up before Thanksgiving for $2.49 and it still looks good.
So what have I been working on? I started a new stitchery project since this was a TV-watching week for me - Dancing with the Stars, American Idol and Grey's Anatomy...so, as not to feel guilty while sitting and watching all this TV, I started on this stitchery that will end up as the flap for a quilted case to carry around hand-work projects. Not a very good description, you'll just have to stop back and see it when it's completed. This is one of the patterns that I ordered from Mums Moments called "Simple Gatherings" -- I really love the Australian stitchery projects..
And, finally, I'm going to make myself a new Wonder Wallet. I'm still carrying the first one I made a few years ago and I think it's time for a new one - or two - or three....These are so easy to make and you can get 2 from a Fat Quarter, if it is a true FQ. These came from Joann Fabric's, so God only knows what size they actually are.

Great to see you back! Those projects sound nice. It is raining here at last, & a lot cooler, so I am hoping to do some sewing Yay!.
I want to make a wonder wallet for a present on a week or so. I'll know who to write to when I get into trouble ( as I often do) LOL

Cute and springy fabric for your new WW's! I had a Poinsettia one time, many moons ago, that bloomed until July 4th; seriously! Thanks for posting yours and reminding me... I hadn't thought about that plant in ages. I usually don't have any luck whatsoever in holding Poinsettias much beyond New Year's!
If you want to kill the poinsettia, bring it to my house. I manage to kill plants. But it is beautiful, so you should keep it there. :)
The stitchery is so cute. I can't wait to see it done. And the wallet is cute too. I love those fabrics, and also wonder why fat quarters can't all be right?!
I love the Aussie stitcheries too - the designers are a talented lot LOL. The wallet looks intriguing - something I'd love to make too :-)
